James Twedt Obituary

Rock Hill, SC - James Allen Twedt entered this world on May 29, 1997, and departed from us on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Fort Mill, SC. His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.

The family will receive friends Noon, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Whitesell Funeral Home and a memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm with officiate Chris Twedt, in the chapel.

Left to cherish his memory are his partner, Jordan Kenner, who shared in joy of their beautiful son, Phoenix, the apple of his father's eye. James' love extended to his stepdaughter Mackenzie. James considered his family the center of his universe; he loved being a dad and would do anything for his kids.

He is also survived by his son Braxton Weatherly, 4, with the late Mikayla Weatherly.

Born to Kyle and Robbie Twedt, James was raised with love and imbued with values that shaped the compassionate man he became. His sisters, Hannah and Madison Twedt, were his closest confidantes and unwavering pillars of support.

Among his close relatives are paternal grandparents, Allen and Susan Twedt; two uncles, Chris Twedt and Kevin Bivins; two aunts, Amber Carter and Joy Martin; nephews, Beckham Twedt (6), Brayden Twedt (3), Kylo Durland (3), Alias Mondragon (2): and niece Amelia Durland (1).

He was preceded in death by, maternal grandmother, Susan Lester; maternal great-grandparents, James and Betty Hancock; and paternal great-grandparents, Lloyd and Joann Twedt.

Whether he was grilling out with loved ones, cheering on his favorite football team, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, James's presence radiated warmth and comfort.

His vibrant spirit extended beyond his family bonds; he had an undeniable passion for music, using it as a medium to express himself and connect with others. James was the life of every gathering, spreading joy and laughter effortlessly. His magnetic personality had a way of making everyone around him feel uplifted and cherished, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His signature phrases—“ya know,” “on god,” and “let’s pop out”—served as comforting reminders of his unique spirit, forever etched in our memories. Though his physical presence may be absent, his spirit lives on in the laughter, love, and cherished memories he left behind.

He will always be remembered as Uncle Jamesee.
