Pamela Elmore Obituary

Pamela Sue (Repine) Elmore, resident of Sun City Carolina Lakes (Indian Land, SC), passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, after an intense battle with cancer for eight months. She was 75 years of age.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Floyd Elmore; her four children: Nathan (spouse, Amie), Alicia (spouse, David Pfahler), Joel (spouse, Ellen), and Jared; her seven grandchildren: Annalese Pfahler Pons (spouse, Tanner), Ellie Pfahler; Camden, Kate, and Jackson Elmore; and Indigo and Juniper Elmore.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Pam was a graduate of Belmont High School (1966) and Cedarville University (2001). After her marriage to Floyd in 1969, she served together with him in a variety of Christian ministries. She was a missionary in Honduras and Costa Rica, women’s Bible teacher, and personal mentor to women of all ages. Along the way, Pam also worked as an Administrative Assistant to lawyers and educators. However, her greatest joy was to “administer” her household of four children until they launched into their own life’s story. She gracefully embraced a more expansive motherhood as a  confidant, mentor, and cheerleader.

Pam loved board games with friends, dancing, pickleball, and activities in and around water. What filled her heart to overflowing was being with family at holidays, eating together, laughing, and reminiscing; and enjoying vacations having crazy fun, playing and talking with her beloved children and ‘grands’, who called her ‘Nana’. She will be remembered for her contagious joy and open arms.

As a dedicated follower of Jesus, Pam’s favorite Bible verses are found in Romans 14:7-9 -- “For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.  For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.  For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.”
